Biography
Considered an American Contemporary Impressionist, Carol has been painting and drawing since she was a young girl. A professional portrait artist, Carol's work hangs in private collections throughout the country.

Carol works in water-based media, oils, pastels, graphite, charcoal, and sculpture. She is well known for her equine art, but is considered to be a true "animalier" - an artist who specializes in painting and sculpting all species of animals. She is a juried member of the NH Art Association and the New England Sculptors Association. She is currently represented by The Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture
Garden in Concord, NH, and the Louisa Gould Gallery on Martha's Vineyard. She is also a member of the CT Plein Air Association, the CT society of Portrait Artists, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, and the CT Pastel Society.

She was recently chosen by the five star Tuscan Villa "Borgo San Pietro" to be their artist in residence for the months of September and October, 2016.

Artist's Statement:
I revel in edges, in color juxtaposition, in line. I am inspired by the works of Degas, with his offbeat compositions; Rembrandt's shadows flecked with gold; Sargent’s bold, deft brush strokes; Rubens swirling, lyrical lines. I am most inspired by light and line, and by the spirit in things, especially animals.
