COMMISSION WORK
A wonderful way to remember treasured members of the family, portraits are an original and personal gift for a loved one that will be a joy for years to come. As an internationally known artist with works hanging throughout the US and the UK, my artwork can be safely shipped anywhere in the world.
MEDIUMS My paintings are offered in several different mediums, including glass, pen and ink, watercolor with pen and ink, charcoal, and oils. My sculpted portraits are offered in ceramic, cement, bonded bronze and bronze.
QUALITY
All of my work is created with archival, professional quality art supplies.
PHOTOS
Please email your favorite photos - they must be clear photos clearly showing accurate color representation. I may be able to make up for minor flaws in the image for the sake of a stronger painting, but I can not make up likeness and anatomical nuances and create a lifelike, truthful and expressive painting working from an inferior photograph. Please assure the photo is in focus and try to limit distracting background images. Submitting a good photo is the most important aspect of the pre-drawing process. The better the photo you submit, the better your portrait will be!
** Please note larger portraiture pieces will require a personal sitting unless the subject has passed away, either with the sitter arranging to visit the studio in New Hampshire or with arrangements for me to travel to the sitter.
SIZE I offer a variety of sizes and will of course also consider custom sizes, including mural work. My most popular sizes are 5 x 5”, 5 x 7”, 9x10” 9 x 12”, 11 x 14”, 16 x20”, 18 x 24”, 24 x 30, and 30 x 40. Horizontal and vertical formats are available, as well as specialty-shaped canvas such as circles or arched panels.
WHEN? Indicate when you would like the portrait completed. Please note, there is a waiting list and this situation changes on a daily basis, I will confirm based on the current status. Each commission will be unique and will therefore have a unique timeframe. Rush work is occasionally possible in the winter months, after the holidays.
RETAINER Once the above has been discussed and agreed, a retainer of 50% is required to secure your painting with me. An invoice will be sent with a detailed contract.
